Nutzungsbedingungen
Stand: Oktober 2026
1. Geltungsbereich
3. In-App-Käufe und Abonnements
AlpiCheck bietet folgende kostenpflichtige Optionen:
- AlpiCheck Pro Monatsabo: Automatisch verlängernd, monatliche Abrechnung.

6. Verfügbarkeit

Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026
1. Scope
These Terms of Use apply to the use of the app "AlpiCheck" (hereinafter "App"), provided by Sebastian Lemens (hereinafter "Provider"). By using the App, you accept these terms. In addition, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies.
2. Description of Service
AlpiCheck provides avalanche warnings, weather data, and information about ski resorts in the Alpine region. The App serves solely as a planning tool and does not replace proper avalanche training. Avalanche reports come from the official avalanche warning services and are shown in condensed form; the original report of the respective warning service is authoritative.
Avalanche reports, the offline avalanche report and the emergency features are always free.
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
AlpiCheck offers the following paid options:
- AlpiCheck Pro Yearly: Auto-renewing annual subscription. Price displayed in the App Store.
- AlpiCheck Pro Season Pass 2026/27: One-time purchase, valid from the time of purchase through May 31, 2027 (German time). The season pass does not renew. Price displayed in the App Store.
- AlpiCheck Pro Monthly: Auto-renewing monthly subscription. Price displayed in the App Store.
- AlpiCheck Pro 2-Week Pass: One-time purchase for 14 days of access from the time of purchase. The pass does not renew and can be purchased only once per Apple Account. It is no longer sold; passes already purchased remain valid until they expire.
Price and duration are shown in the App before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration at the displayed price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings at any time.
If a renewal fails, Apple retries the payment. As long as Apple grants a grace period, Pro remains active; afterwards Pro is paused until the payment succeeds. Apple offer codes can be redeemed in the App via “Redeem Code”. Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple.
4. Introductory Offers
The yearly subscription may include a free trial week. Whether it applies to you, how long it lasts and what is charged afterwards is shown in the App before purchase. A free trial automatically converts to the paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
4a. Groups and group chat (from version 1.3)
For groups (ski group and clique) with group chat, “Share location” and leaderboard, the following also applies:
- Age: Groups are for people aged 16 and over. Before your first group you confirm in the App that you are at least 16.
- Rules of conduct: The chat is only for your group. Insults, threats, harassment, sexual, violent or hateful content, spam and advertising, and content that infringes the rights of others are not allowed. This also applies to nicknames and names of meeting points. Such content is not tolerated.
- Your responsibility: You are responsible for your messages, your nickname and your meeting points. Messages are end-to-end encrypted; the Provider cannot read them and does not review them in advance. A word filter in the App checks free text and nicknames before sending. Links, photos and voice messages cannot be sent.
- Report and block: You can report any message and any member and block members. After your confirmation a report is sent to the Provider in plaintext, who reviews it within 24 hours. Reports are also possible by email to [email protected]. The host of a group can remove members.
- Suspension: In case of a violation the Provider suspends the reported member’s device for all groups; the group service then deletes that member’s data. A person reviews the report before every suspension; there are no automatic suspensions. You can object to a suspension by email.
- Not an emergency call: Group chat and “Share location” are not an emergency call and not a way to locate you in an emergency. In an emergency, call 112.
- Availability: The Provider may switch group features off in whole or in part, for example in case of abuse or technical problems.
Which data groups process and for how long is described in the Privacy Policy, section 5a.
5. Disclaimer
Data displayed in AlpiCheck (avalanche warnings, weather data, crowding estimates) comes from third-party sources and is provided without warranty. The Provider assumes no liability for:
- The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of displayed data
- Decisions made based on information shown in the App
- Damages arising from the use of the App or the information contained therein
These limitations do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or liability under the German Product Liability Act.
You make your own decisions in the mountains. AlpiCheck does not replace proper avalanche training or professional guidance from mountain guides.
6. Availability
The Provider strives for high availability of the App and integrated services but cannot guarantee it. Maintenance, technical issues, or changes to third-party APIs may cause temporary limitations.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights to the App, its design, code, and content belong to the Provider. Reproduction, distribution, or modification without express permission is prohibited.
8. Privacy
For information about how your data is processed, please see our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to Terms
The Provider reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use. The current version is published on this page with a new date; significant changes are also announced in the App.
10. Governing Law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of your habitual residence remain unaffected. The place of jurisdiction is, to the extent permitted by law, the Provider's place of business.
